The Kings River Conservation District Board recently installed two new directors, Anthony Nonini and Jenifer Marshall. Anthony Nonini was seated on the Board in December 2022. Nonini is the owner of A. Nonini Ag services which provides Orchard & Vineyard removal and land development services to the Central Valley. In addition to his business, Nonini is a fourth-generation farmer growing wine grapes and almonds carrying out his family‘s legacy who planted their first roots in Fresno in 1904. Nonini received his Bachelor’s Degree in Wine and Viticulture with a double minor in Plant Protection and Fruit Science from Cal Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 2019. As a newly elected director, Nonini will serve a 4-year term.
Jenifer Marshall was appointed by the KRCD Board in January 2023. Marshall is a valley native raised on a farm outside of Sanger. She is a partner with her husband Josh in a farm management company James Marshall Farm Service, LLC, since 1999. Helping to run the daily farm operations of farm management and a custom spray operation including, wine grapes, citrus, almond and pistachio acreage. Working together they are the fourth generation of the Marshall family to farm on the home ranch since the early 1900s. Maréchal Vineyards is the latest addition to the farm. The winery began in 2012 and tasting room opened operations in 2016 adding to the daily duties for the company. Marshall was appointed to replace Director David Cehrs, PhD after his passing. Marshall will serve the remaining two years of the term.
