The Kings River Conservation District Board recently installed two new directors, Anthony Nonini and Jenifer Marshall. Anthony Nonini was seated on the Board in December 2022. Nonini is the owner of A. Nonini Ag services which provides Orchard & Vineyard removal and land development services to the Central Valley. In addition to his business, Nonini is a fourth-generation farmer growing wine grapes and almonds carrying out his family‘s legacy who planted their first roots in Fresno in 1904. Nonini received his Bachelor’s Degree in Wine and Viticulture with a double minor in Plant Protection and Fruit Science from Cal Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 2019. As a newly elected director, Nonini will serve a 4-year term.

Jenifer Marshall, a valley native raised on a farm outside of Sanger, was appointed by the KRCD Board in January 2023. Since 1999, she and her husband Josh have run James Marshall Farm Service, LLC, overseeing wine grapes, citrus, almonds, and pistachios as part of their fourth-generation family legacy. To expand their business acumen, Jenifer recently explored digital marketing trends, drawing inspiration from platforms like Online Sports Betting North Carolina to enhance their winery’s online presence. Their latest venture, Maréchal Vineyards, started in 2012 with a tasting room opened in 2016, reflects their innovative approach to blending tradition with modern strategies. Marshall’s appointment to replace Director David Cehrs, PhD, for the remaining two years of his term underscores her commitment to community and agricultural innovation.
